If you think you don’t like cabbage, you just haven’t roasted it yet. Roasting transforms this humble vegetable into something sweet, nutty, and incredibly crispy. These Garlic Butter Cabbage Steaks are a “Cabbage Crush” trend for a reason: they are cheap, healthy, and honestly addictive.

Ingredients:
- 1 Head Green Cabbage (medium size).
- 1/2 cup Butter, melted (or Olive Oil for dairy-free).
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced.
- 1 tsp Onion Powder.
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika (This gives a bacon-like flavor!).
- Salt & Black Pepper generously applied.
- Optional: Fresh parsley or Parmesan cheese for garnish.
Instructions:
- Preheat: Set oven to 400°F (200°C). High heat is the secret to crispy edges!
- Slice: Remove outer leaves. Cut the stem so the cabbage sits flat. Slice vertically into 1-inch thick “steaks”.
- The Butter Sauce: Whisk together melted butter, garlic, onion powder, and paprika.
- Brush: Place steaks on a baking sheet. Brush the butter mixture generously on both sides. Don’t be shy!
- Roast: Bake for 25-28 minutes. You want the edges to be dark brown and crispy (charred) and the center tender.
- Serve: Sprinkle with Parmesan immediately.
