Easter is right around the corner, and if you need a last-minute treat for a school party, a Spring baby shower, or just a fun afternoon activity with the kids, you have found the holy grail of recipes.

These Easter Pretzel Bites (also known as Pretzel Hugs) require absolutely zero baking skills, only 3 ingredients, and take about 5 minutes to put together. The combination of crunchy, salty pretzels, melt-in-your-mouth white chocolate, and a crisp pastel M&M is simply irresistible. Beware: it is impossible to eat just one!
π What You Need (Only 3 Ingredients!)
You can find all of these in the seasonal aisle of your local grocery store right now:
- 1 bag Square Pretzels:Β (The “Snap” grid shape works best to hold the chocolate, but traditional mini twists work fine too!).
- 1 bag Hersheyβs Hugs:Β (These are the kisses with white and milk chocolate stripes. You can also use Cookies ‘n’ Creme or plain White Chocolate Kisses).
- 1 bag Pastel M&Mβs:Β (Look for the Spring/Easter edition with pink, light blue, yellow, and mint green).
π©βπ³ Step-by-Step Instructions (So Easy Kids Can Help!)
Pro-Tip: The most “time-consuming” part of this recipe is unwrapping the Hershey’s kisses. Have your kids do this part, or do it while watching your favorite show!
Step 1: Prep the Pan
Preheat your oven to a very low 200Β°F (90Β°C). We are not “baking” anything; we just want to gently soften the chocolate. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Step 2: The Base
Lay your square pretzels out on the baking sheet in a single layer.
Step 3: The Chocolate
Place one unwrapped Hersheyβs Hug (or Kiss) in the center of each pretzel.
Step 4: The “Melt”
Place the baking sheet in the oven for 3 to 4 minutes. Keep a close eye on them! You want the chocolate to be soft and glossy, but not fully melted into a puddle. They should still hold their shape.
Step 5: The Squish!
Remove the pan from the oven. Immediately, but gently, press one pastel Easter M&M into the center of each chocolate kiss. The chocolate will flatten out perfectly over the pretzel.
Step 6: Chill and Serve
Let the pretzel bites sit at room temperature until the chocolate hardens again (about an hour), or pop the baking sheet into the refrigerator for 15 minutes to speed up the process.
π‘ Storage Tips:
These make fantastic Easter gifts! Once they are completely cool and hardened, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks, or pack them in little clear cellophane bags tied with a pastel ribbon for an adorable DIY party favor.
